North Georgia Massage School Graduates Embark on a New Career

Cohutta Healing Arts Institute, located in downtown Ellijay, celebrated another successful term of Massage Therapy Certification Training with a graduation ceremony on September 8, 2016. Each of the new graduates has already taken and passed their National MBLEx licensing exam and are on their way to becoming professional massage therapists.
“CHAI graduates Julie Culpepper, Caitlin Manners and Heather Miller are embarking on new careers in the one the fastest growing professions in America,” says Patricia Babin, instructor and Director of Administration for the school. “Prior to taking the licensing exam, students of our massage therapy certification program have completed an extensive curriculum that exceeds state requirements and prepares them for a rewarding and successful career.”

According to the school’s Director of Education, Jennifer Houle: “This class has been such a pleasure to work with. We are proud to see them graduate from students to colleagues in the field of professional massage therapy.”

The Cohutta Healing Arts Institute School of Massage has continued to outrank state and national Pass Rate percentages, according to the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB). The FSMTB School Pass Rate Report indicates the percent of students who have passed the required Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam. The state of Georgia’s first time pass rate is 68%. The national first time Pass Rate is 71%. CHAI School of Massage has a first time Pass Rate of 100%. The 100% Pass Rate is a tremendous affirmation of both the quality instruction and the caliber of students that have graduated from the program.

Massage Therapy Certification day classes begin each September and evening classes begin each April. Both day and evening sessions are conducted Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, plus one Saturday per month. Each term takes approximately one year to complete.
