To others “massage” might be a means to relieve pain or discomfort in the body, or to help recover from surgery using a variety of therapeutic methods to achieve the goals.
Both are true! A massage aimed at bringing the body to relaxation can have a positive impact on pain and healing. And massage that targets problem areas and relieves pain, can in turn bring about a state of relaxation.
