Giving Thanks for Giving Help

At Thanksgiving, many of us are thinking about all of the wonderful aspects of our lives and expressing gratitude in lots of different ways. Hopefully the day will be spent with loved ones, family and friends and maybe consuming lots of food (healthy, of course!) in appreciation of great abundance. Or perhaps you’ll spend the day in service of others who are in need, and not as fortunate as you.

Holding Hands with Elderly Patient

As a professional bodyworker, I’d like to take a moment to express just how grateful I am that I get to serve my fellow humans in such an incredible way. There is absolutely nothing more gratifying than having a client sit up on the edge of the massage table and proclaim “Wow….I’m not feeling any pain!”, or “I haven’t felt this relaxed for a long time!”. Knowing that I’m having such a positive impact on the quality of life for those I serve is the reason I do what I do, and I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity.

At Cohutta Healing Arts Institute, School of Massage, you’ll learn how to help others with your own unique talents and style. Join us on a journey toward a new career in the “healing arts” and train for a career you’ll love!
