A dedicated and compassionate holistic healthcare provider, Jennifer Houle, ND, LMT has been in the Massage Therapy industry since her graduation from the Humanities Center School of Massage in 1999. In 2010, Jennifer graduated from Trinity School of Natural Health with a Doctorate in Naturopathy.
Ever the consummate teacher, Jennifer is also an Approved Provider of Continuing Education for the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She writes and lectures on various massage topics nationwide and was the Lead Instructor in the Massage Therapy Program at North Georgia Technical Institute in Blairsville, GA. With a view toward holistic lifestyles and living, Patricia Babin brings her experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist, a registered Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® practitioner, Naturopathic Doctor, Yoga Instructor and Reiki Energy therapist to the Cohutta Healing Arts Institute. With a foundational knowledge of the human body learned through nursing school and extensive training in Anatomy and Physiology geared toward the body worker, she possesses a unique synthesis of training in both Western and Eastern modalities and a keen interest in all human sciences. Jill Darling, DC
Student Advisor and Instructor
Jill Darling, DC has been a chiropractor since her graduation from Life University in 1992. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Eckerd College where she majored in Biology and minored in Human Resources and is the owner of Back to Basics Chiropractic in Ellijay, GA where she works closely with massage therapists. This cooperation between chiropractic and massage therapy has greatly enhanced the patient outcomes and experiences in her private practice.
As an Instructor, as well as Student Advisor, at the Cohutta Healing Arts Institute, Jill offers instruction in the areas of anatomy and physiology. She also guides students through their journey of education, licensing and eventual career options.
Kelly Buddenhagen, LMT, BCTMB
Student Advisor and Instructor
Kelly Buddenhagen, a Nationally Registered Paramedic, brings a unique, interactive learning experience to the Massage Therapy certification program at Cohutta Healing Arts Institute (CHAI). Kelly’s passion and creativity for teaching has earned her national, regional and state notoriety as an educator and facilitator of adult learning. For our Massage Therapy students, she’s able to break down the complex topics of anatomy, physiology and pathology of the human body in such a way that any learning style can absorb and understand the information.
Kelly’s career focus has been in the field of emergency medicine. She not only has over 21 years experience in EMS, she is a nationally certified educator of both trainers and providers of critical care paramedicine, emergency care and advanced cardiac life support. Fueled by a passion for helping others, and the desire to blend traditional and non-traditional healing, Kelly has completed level 2 training in Reiki Natural Healing and is a graduate of massage therapy training at CHAI and owner of Humble Hands Theraputic Massage in Ellijay.
Linda Stanley, LMT
Administrative Support and Instructor
Linda Stanley is a Licensed Massaged Therapist and is the owner of Heaven Sent Massage of Ellijay. She is a graduate of CHIA, and has over 20 years’ experience in health care and medical records. She is also a 2002 graduate of Georgia Northwestern (formerly Coosa Valley Technical College), with a diploma in Business Office Management.
Linda brings a real-life experience to our students, teaching them the importance of medical terminology as the building blocks for the knowledge and communication skills required to be a massage therapist. She shows them the necessity for accurate charting, to insure the safety and continuity of care towards their clients, as well as for their own professional and individual protection.
Linda brings her familiarity and knowledge into the classroom, creating applicable situations and scenarios for the students to learn from. Her standards for learning are high, and along with her love and desire to share the joy of therapeutic touch with others, she sets the perfect stage for our students to be able to excel in their future massage careers.
